Hydrant

Saw a hydrant somebody had opened, so I snapped a few shots of it. I liked how old and decrepit the hydrant was, contrasted with the clarity and seeming purity of the water.

I wrote a tart little note on SALON in response to the article about James Franco's shitty short story published in Esquire...

James Franco, Esq.

The real shame isn't that Franco wrote some drek; rather, it's that Esquire saw fit to publish it.

It's embarrassing that the desperation to sell magazine copies turns Esquire into a vanity press for celebrities.

Well done, lads. Starfuckery triumphant! Oh, well done.

*golf applause*

Had to be said, since Esquire is notoriously selective about what gets published, and the ONLY reason Franco's piece was picked up is because it was JAMES "I Can't Honestly Act Very Well" Franco.
